Alexandra Norwick identifies as a Ukrainian visual artist who mainly works in mixed media. She describes her work: “My work is autobiographical and explores the nature and pain of the essential feminine through symbols, text and visual references. Within my collages, red is a color of the highest value standing both for suffering and life, the lost or ruined aspects of self and urge to restore them.”
She feels the WARM mentorship program helped her overcome fear that took her away from her art. Each piece combines many techniques & media: she feels this gives her work “Multidimensionality : it is like writing a story with many characters in it.”
