Over the next couple of months Banfill-Locke seeks artists to apply for our Writer-in-Residence position, submit images for our Art of Darkness: Inspired by the Paranormal exhibition and also for a bird inspired exhibition at Wargo Nature Center, and to send in proposals for gallery shows in 2017-18. There are many ways for artists to be part of the exciting programming at Banfill-Locke.
To encourage and celebrate the literary arts and our community of writers, BLCA hosts a Writer-in-Residence who makes the art center their writing home, facilitates our monthly NorthWords Writers writing group, and to serve as a presence at the center for our member writers. This is an 18-month position. With this position comes free use of a writing studio with great views of Manomin Park and comfortable furniture and a $1500 total stipend. This opportunity does not provide living accommodations. We seek submissions from writers of any genre or experience level. More information and the application process are available at our website; the deadline is April 15. http://www.banfill-locke.org/programs/literary-art/call-for-applications-for-2016-17-writer-in-residence/
