Me + You is a show about relationships. This can be interpreted in many ways. Would you like to explore your relationship with another person (family, friends, enemies, etc) or with food, music, or with a new medium? This theme can go in many different directions, but must discuss something you directly have a relationship with and how it affects you.
Me + You will be held at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in Wyoming, MN. It is a beautiful location with great space for 2D and 3D work, as well as, a stage and audio equipment. Songwriters, actors, singers, musicians and filmmakers are all encouraged to submit work for this show!
-Artist’s WARM membership must be current through August 17, 2019 in order to qualify for your work to be curated into the show.
-Entry fee of $40, payable through WARM’s Square online shop.
-Each member will have at least one piece of work curated into the show. All forms are welcome. 2D or 3D, fiber, book arts, assemblage, ceramic, film, performance, installation, writing or photography. You may submit up to 3 pieces.
-ALL work submitted must be recent work not before shown or performed in a WARM show.
-Performance/spoken word/music must be limited to 5 minutes.
-Artwork will not be insured by WARM.
-Artist agrees that WARM has permission to use your art images to promote the exhibition in print materials and on social media.
-Work must be for sale. Sales will be handled by WARM via cash or credit card. 60% to the artist, 30% to the Hallberg Center for the Arts, and 10% to WARM.
-Artists will be asked to send label information and a short statement about how your piece ties into the theme of the show.
-WARM will print labels and details will be sent to you on acceptance.
After your application has been submitted, you will be emailed a Dropbox File Request to use to upload your corresponding photos/video/sound. You do not need to have a Dropbox account to use this upload link.
This show will be curated by member JoAnn Hendricks. She is a visual artist working in graphite and ink. She draws the figure from life with simple, purposeful lines. Her work concentrates more on composition rather than rendering a likeness of the subject.
